Solid wood, stone from the mountains, wonderful air and healing water! When you love nature you will find pure budo luxury at the Kannon Onsen. The bus takes 3 to 4 hours along the coastal road from lively Tokyo to tranquil Kannon Onsen on the Izu peninsular. Shortly before the destination the participants transfer into smaller buses, because the road is just too small for big coaches.
Genk and Herzogenhorn.
Intensive and harmonious practice with international participation.
This is how you could describe the more than two weeks Shimizu Sensei and Wakasensei Kenta spent in Europe for teaching. These seminars offered the opportunity to work on your own movements as well as to deepen the understanding for budo.
In autumn Wakasensei Kenta will be traveling to Germany again to teach seminars in Bad Saeckingen, Moers and Berlin.
This time following graduations were announced:
Last weekend the teaching team and 20 members of Tendokan joined a mini seminar in preparation of this year's Kannon Onsen autumn seminar.
In April 2014 two ladies from Russia visited the Tendokan and trained intensively – one whole month. Here you can read about their impressions.

This year I got the lucky chance to visit Japan that is mainly the Tendokan of Tendoryu Aikido.
That short piece of my life became the most important, lively and replete one in the last four years.

part 1: Victoria Dolzhenkova
The trip to Tendokan in Tokyo was very significant to me. There was a time in my life when the wish of more understanding of aikido appeared and it was very important to continue study.
In Tendokan I spent 32 valuable days in trainings. Every day I could study the aikido art under Shimizu Sensei, Wakasensei Kenta Shimizu, Kotaro Nagai Sensei and other Tendokan teachers.

The numerous participants of the seminars could again benefit from Shimizu Sensei’s experience and Wakasensensei’s youthful vigor and at the same time learn much about Tendoryu Aikido.
That it is not only about movement, but also about working on yourself - bringing your emotions in balance and thereby gaining courage and strength.
Congratulations to all newly graded students:
For me the year 2013 has passed in no time.
There were many seminars held abroad and I feel I have learnt a great deal. I gained things and I was confronted with new tasks. The seminars took place in six countries all together - including the seminars of Shimizu Sensei. That is Germany, Serbia, Slovenia, Russia, Denmark and Mexico.
I want to express my gratitude to the aikido students of each seminar locations for all their efforts.
Thank you very much.
